Object permanence is the understanding that an object still exists even when they can’t see it.
They start understand that the object is still there when they are around 7-12 months old.
How to Play:
- Drop the ball into the hole
- Watch it rolls down the ramp and comes out to the tray
- They’re developing hand-eye coordination, whole-hand grasp, and wrist and fingers control to release the ball
- Your baby can start playing when they’re old enough to sit without support
- Show the baby how to play, then let them play without intervening
- When they miss and the ball rolls away from the toy just let them go grab it back.
